Have you ever been looking at yourself in the mirror and found you’re moving around and checking yourself out from different angles? Have you noticed how certain ways you stand look better than others? Have you noticed that your body moves like a body should, and shifts and changes its form slightly so that you CAN move?
When you sit, your tummy is going to squish and bulge out, either a little or a lot. When you twist, your skin is going to bunch up. When you bend over, you’re going to get rolls. Our bodies move like this, and it has nothing to do with being unfit. We have been conditioned to believe that any extra skin or “bulging fat” is bad and unattractive, and we end up hating the very foundation of our bodies. Our bodies are doing their very best to keep safe and move around the world, and they deserve to be loved. It’s hard to see this, though, and easy to be cruel to our bodies. One woman is proving that even the healthiest of people get rolls and bulges and whatever else it is we criticize about ourselves, and that it is okay and very normal.
